We haven't been able to coax Scotty into potty training...at least not until recently. He has, on occasion, woken with a dry diaper. And we were so thrilled when he did so on Saturday! So daddy took him to the potty, and YIPPEE! It WORKED. He was absolutely thrilled with himself! We tried a few more times during the day with no luck...he would either say "dey is no peepee" or he would go RIGHT AFTER we put a fresh diaper on him. I am not into buying pull-ups just yet, since I do not want to blow through them...better when he's a bit more used to it all...
And he also tried again in the evening. He'd just given me the "no peepee" speech when out came a drip...and another and it happened AGAIN! He's loving the mini m&m's he is getting for a reward...now we just need consistency....sigh. That means work for me again...but the sooner he's trained, the better!!!

Hi Linda! In response to the comment you left on my blog, we just finally had to go for it. I bought several packs of charachter underwear (Thomas, Lightning McQueen, etc.) and had him start wearing them. The first few times he wet them, he felt how uncomfortable they were and started telling us when he had to go. For the most part, that is. Several times during the day, I will TELL him that "it's time to go potty". I find that if I ASK him, he just says no. We also have a candy jar on the bathroom counter and he can have a piece if he goes. It's hit and miss sometimes but we're working on it! Hope this helps!
